Perry Porterfield

A founder of Petroleo, Mr. Porterfield assists in building the company’s mineral and royalty portfolio. His responsibilities include business development, working with investors, acquisitions and divestitures, and overall management. Mr. Porterfield began his career in the oil and gas industry by working for an operating company while he was a student at TCU. After graduation, he then went to work for Vitol Group before becoming a founding Partner of Dorado Petroleum and Dorado Mineral and Royalty in 2011. In 2017, Mr. Porterfield and Mr. Kostohryz founded Petroleo.
Kelly Kostohryz
Managing Member
A founder of Petroleo, Mr. Kostohryz also assists in building the company’s mineral and royalty portfolio. His responsibilities include overseeing the development of all purchase and sale agreements, due diligence, deeds and title support, other legal documents and overall management. Mr. Kostohryz earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University in 2005 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. He previously worked as a landman and served as legal counsel at McClure & Cross LLP, where he focused on oil and gas and real estate transactions as well as title opinions for operators.
